15 days cultural program Luxor - Aswan - Abu Simbel
This all-inclusive cultural Egypt tour takes you to all the famous heritage sites in the south. The journey starts in Luxor, which may be called an open air museum, for all the world famous sites situated there. In the pharaoh times this used to be the capital, called Thebes. At the eastern bank of the Nile you find the Luxor Temple and the Temple of Karnak and on the west bank the famous mortuary temples and tombs in the Valley of the Kings and Queens. After a three-day stay in Luxor where you visit all the historical sites, we leave to the southernmost city of Egypt, Aswan. The population is predominantly Nubian, an African minority in Upper Egypt. Therefore Aswan is also called the gateway to Africa.
You will stay the night in our authentic bed and breakfast Bet el Kerem on the edge of the desert and the Nubian villages. This special and natural surroundings gives your Egypt holidays something extra for sure, also through the contact with the local population. From this charming location, there are guided tours to the Nubian temples Isis and Kalabsha and to the world famous temple complex of Ramses at Abu Simbel. The varied Aswan program also includes a camel ride in the desert, a multi-day cruise on the Nile, a day of cycling and visits to Elephantine Island, the Botanical Gardens on Kitchener Island and of course you see the Aswan Dam, which gave rise to the largest lake in Africa. The last night back in Luxor overnight, so you can be in time for your plane back home (or you may leave from Aswan airport).
